A little about the project..
I joined the "Pickleball Match" project to create a comprehensive app that serves as a one-stop solution for pickleball enthusiasts.
The app has been designed to help users find courts, clubs, and playing partners, and connect with a community of pickleball players.
I was brought on as the Lead Designer to transform and elevate the user experience for Pickleball Match, a contract project that spanned nearly 5 months, culminating in the app’s launch on the App Store. Initially, the app lacked design consistency, had poor UI hygiene, and didn’t adhere to best UX practices.
My role involved redesigning the entire end-to-end user journey, ensuring a seamless flow. I conducted in-depth usability testing with real users to validate our design decisions, refine key interactions, and optimize the app's functionality. The goal was to not only create an intuitive, visually appealing interface but also ensure the app provided a delightful, frictionless experience for all users—from casual players to competitive enthusiasts.

Cross-Platform Design: Responsible for crafting a seamless user experience across Android, iOS, and web platforms, ensuring accessibility and engagement for all users.
Community and Connectivity: Aimed at transforming the app into a comprehensive platform for users to easily find pickleball courts, clubs, playing partners, and foster a vibrant community of players.
Design exploration
Conducted a lot of secondary research to understand how existing social/community gathering apps work. Also explored the match making features in dating apps to see how we can leverage it to build a sports community.
Extensive secondary research was conducted to build Pickleball Match, drawing inspiration from popular platforms like Airbnb, Meetup, Hinge, and other social, dating, and community apps.
This research helped us understand what users value in social apps and how to integrate dating app features to create an accurate and engaging player-matching experience for sports, ensuring a seamless way to connect pickleball players based on skill, location, and availability.
